The sensor. A load cell sensor measures the force on the lever, a Hall or magnetic sensor measures its travel: the first gives more control in rally and drift.
Position. A vertical handbrake is for rally and drift; a horizontal mount feels like a road car. Several models support both.
USB or via the base. A USB handbrake plugs straight into the PC; on console, only a model compatible with your wheel base will be recognized.
